Cashless payments rise 40%

In the first quarter of 2020, the cashless payments increased by 40% globally, Report informs, citing survey made by MasterCard among more than 17,000 people in 19 countries.
According to the results, 8 out of every 10 people preferred cashless payments. Compared to all other card payments, contactless transactions in supermarkets increased more than double in the reporting period.
Moreover, the contactless payments rose 2.5-fold in the Asia-Pacific Region, fourfold in the Middle East and Africa, threefold in North America.
