Budget transfers from customs authorities up by over 22% in Azerbaijan

In January-May 2023, the budget transfers from the State Customs Committee (SCC) amounted to 2,527.581 million manats (nearly $1.5 billion), up 22.5%, from January-May 2022, Report informs, citing the Committee.
In the reporting period, the revenues from customs duties increased by 21.5% to 625.175 million manats ($367.75 million), from value-added tax (VAT) by 22.4% to 1,802.573 million manats ($1.06 billion), from excise taxes went up by 48.8% to 79.541 million manats ($46.79 million), and from road tax dropped by 13% to 20.291 million manats ($11.94 million).
