Bank of England lowers interest rates to 0.25%

The Bank of England has held a special meeting, at which it decided to lower interest rates by 50 basis points from 0.75 percent to 0.25 percent amidst the coronavirus outbreak, Report informs, citing the bank’s statement.
Bank of England has also confirmed the repurchase of assets from the market with a total value of GBP 435B.
