Azerbaijani manat's nominal, real effective exchange rates down in April

As of May 1, 2026, the nominal effective exchange rate of the Azerbaijani manat against foreign currencies was 102.9 points, Report informs, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
This was 1-point lower month-on-month, 0.4 point more than the beginning of the year, and 1.5 points less than May 1, 2025.
Additionally, the real effective exchange rate of the manat stood at 115.3 points as of May 1, 2026. This marked a decrease of 2.4 points compared to the previous month, a 0.5-point decline compared to early 2025, and a 3.3-point drop year-on-year.
