Azerbaijani banking sector's net profit up by 41%

Azerbaijan's banking sector made a net profit of 563.3 million manats ($331.35 million) in January-June of this year (+40.55%), Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

During the six months, banks' operating income amounted to 2.267 billion manats ($1.33 billion) (+26.5%), operating expenses to 1.466 billion manats ($0.86 billion) (+26.9%), allocations to special reserves made up 107.6 million manats ($63.29 million) (-26.7%), windfall gains stood at 1.1 million manats ($0.65 million) and profit tax payments accounted for 131.3 million manats ($77.24 million) (+48.7%).
