Azerbaijan's consumer price index (CPI) increased by 1% during January-March 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year, Report informs, referring to the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, the CPI in Azerbaijan amounted to 101%, including 99.7% for food, drinks, and tobacco products, 101.4% for non-food products, and 102.5% for paid services provided to the population.
In March, the consumer price index in Azerbaijan rose by 0.2% compared to the previous month and 0.4% compared to the same period last year.
Last month, the consumer price index for food, beverages, and tobacco products was 100.4%, representing an increase of 0.4% compared to January 2024, while a decrease of 1.1 percent compared to March 2023.
The consumer price index for non-food products in March 2024 was 100.0% compared to the February and 101.1% compared to the same period last year.
In March, the consumer price index for paid services to the population amounted to 100.1%, in comparison to the previous month and 102.2% compared to March 2023.
