Azerbaijan sees 44% decline in currency sales

The currency sales in the auctions jointly held by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) in January-April 2023 amounted to $ 1.215 billion, down 44.1% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the CBA.
In April alone, currency sales made up $286 million, showing a 47.9% decline in comparison to a year ago.
