Azerbaijan sees 3% growth in retail trade turnover

Retail trade turnover in January-May 2019 grew by 2.8% to AZN 14.3 billion, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, the sale of food products, tobacco and drinks amounted to AZN 7.2 million, non-food products amounted to AZN 7.1 million, up 2.4% and 3.1% respectively from the previous year.

A consumer bought AZN 290.1-good on average, which is AZN 10.4 higher than the previous year.

A consumer bought food products, drinks and tobacco worth AZN 145.5 on average, non-food products worth AZN 144.6 in the reporting period.
