Azerbaijan sees 3% growth in retail trade turnover

Retail trade turnover in January-June 2019 grew by 2.8% to AZN 18 billion, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, the sale of food products, tobacco and drinks amounted to AZN 8,944,900,000, non-food products amounted to AZN 9,033,000,000, up 2.5% and 3.1% respectively from the previous year.

Per head average retail trade turnover was AZN 303.2-good on average, which is AZN 11.5 higher than the previous year.

A consumer bought food products, drinks and tobacco worth AZN 150.9 on average, non-food products worth AZN 152.3 in the reporting period.
