Azerbaijan sees 3.2% growth in retail trade

Retail trade turnover in January 2020 grew by 3.2% to AZN 3.1 billion, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, the sale of food products, tobacco and drinks amounted to AZN 1.6 billion, non-food products amounted to AZN 1.5 billion, up 2.7% and 3.6% respectively from the previous year.
Per capita, average retail trade turnover was AZN 309.1-good on average, which is AZN 15.3 higher than the previous year.
One consumer bought food products, drinks, and tobacco worth AZN 157.2 on average, non-food products worth AZN 151.9 in the reporting period.
