Azerbaijan is ready to expand partnerships for the development of the halal economy, First Deputy Finance Minister Anar Karimov said.
Report informs that he made the remarks at the "Halal Economy for Sustainable Regional Integration" event held in Baku as part of the 51st Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
According to Karimov, the future of the halal economy depends not only on the development of individual markets, but also on building strong links between countries, businesses, investors and new opportunities.
He said ensuring a balance between ethical principles and economic growth is one of the key conditions for the sustainable development of the sector.
Karimov noted that if this goal is achieved, the halal economy could become an important driver of regional integration, shared prosperity and sustainable development.
"Azerbaijan, including the Finance Ministry, is ready to cooperate with all partners to realize this vision. Through joint efforts, it is possible to build stronger markets and more resilient partnerships," he said.
