Azerbaijan’s non-oil, gas sector grows by 1%

In January 2025, Azerbaijan generated 9.43 billion manats (just over $5.547 billion) of GDP, which is 0.9% less year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.

Over the past year, the added value in Azerbaijan's non-oil and gas sector grew by 1%, while dropping by 4% in the oil and gas sector.

In Azerbaijan, industry comprises 39.9% of the total GDP, followed by trade and vehicle repair – 10.3%, transport and warehousing – 7.1%, and construction contributes – 4.2%.

Agriculture, forestry, and fishing contribute 3.1%, while tourist accommodation and catering account for 2%. Information and communication represent 1.9%, and other areas, along with net taxes on products and imports, constitute 20.7% and 10.8% respectively.

In January, the value of GDP per person was 922.1 manats (about $542.41).
