Azerbaijan’s insurance market declines by 9%

In January-May 2019, 21 Azerbaijan-based insurers collected AZN 319.272 million in premiums, down 9% from the previous year, Report informs citing the Financial Markets Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).
In the reporting period, the insurance payments amounted to AZN 93.778 million, down 3.8% in comparison to a year earlier.
During the reporting period, 29.4 AZN of insurance payments accounted for per 100 AZN insurance premiums, while this figure was AZN 27.8 in 2018.
