Azerbaijan's foreign trade surplus sharply reduced

Baku. 17 February. REPORT.AZ/ In January of this year, Azerbaijan has carried out trade operations of 1 099 884,38 thousand USD with 114 countries.

Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee (SCC), this figure is less by 40,62% in comparison with the analogical period of previous year.

According to the report, during the reporting month, volume of export operations decreased by 48,57% in annual comparison and made 657 076,21 thousand USD as well as import decreased by 22,95% and made 442 808,17 thousand USD.

So, foreign trade surplus of 214 268,04 thousand USD occurred. It means 3,3-fold decrease in comparison with analogical period of previous year.

Notably, in January, 3 299 kind of goods have been imported to the country. During this period, variety of export products made totally 543.
