Baku. 14 February. REPORT.AZ/ As of January 1, Azerbaijan's foreign debt amounted to $ 9.398.3 mln (15,978.1 mln AZN) and its gross domestic product (GDP) ratio was 22.8% (compared to GDP of 70,135.1 mln in 2017).
Report informs referring to the Ministry of Finance.
According to information, last year's foreign debt increased by 35.95%. Its ratio in GDP up by 2.4 percent points.
The debt includes the direct commitments of the government and debts for loans under state guarantee. Foreign debt consists of loans from international financial institutions for infrastructure projects and funding programs, as well as securities placed on international financial markets.
