Azerbaijan's economy grows 0.2%

Azerbaijan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rose by 0.2% to AZN 22,400.5 mln in January-April 2020, Report informs citing the State Statistical Committee (SSC).

Of this, ANZ 7,870.8 million was formed in the oil and gas sector, AZN 14.529.7 mln – in the non-oil and gas sector, respectively, up 1.5% and down 0.8% from the previous year.

Per capita GDP fell 0.7% to AZN 2,249.7.

In the reporting period, the industry's production amounted to AZN 13,028.1 million in the non-oil and gas industry – to AZN 3,882 million, respectively, up 3% and 16.8% from a year earlier.

According to SSC, 39.3% of GDP was formed in industry, 10.7% in trade: repair of transport facilities, 7.4% in transport and warehousing, 5.6% in construction, 3.9% in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 2% information and communication, 1.9% in tourist accommodation and public catering, 18.9% in other fields. Net taxes on products and import made up 10.3% of the GDP.
