Azerbaijan reduced exports to Russia by 44%

Baku. 20 August. REPORT.AZ/ In January-July 2014, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia amounted to 1.081 bln dollars.

As Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, for 7 months goods worth 383.77 mln dollars supplied in Russia, which corresponds to 2.9% of the total export of Azerbaijan. During the same period, imports from Russia amounted to 698,038 mln dollars or 14.3% of total imports of Azerbaijan. The negative balance of trade turnover amounted to 314.27 mln dollars.

Exports from Azerbaijan compared to the same period in 2013 decreased by 43.9%, imports - by 20.34%, and the negative balance increased by 9.5%.

In 2013 the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia amounted to 2.583 bln dollars. Trade turnover increased by 10.48% compared with 2012.

During the past year products worth 1.077 bln dollars imported to Russia which corresponds to 4.5% of total exports of Azerbaijan.

Over the same period, imports amounted to 1.505 bln dollars or 14.05% of total imports of Azerbaijan. The negative balance of trade turnover amounted to 428 mln dollars.
