Azerbaijan posts surplus of over 2.5B AZN in state budget

In January-September 2024, Azerbaijan's state budget revenues amounted to 27.74 billion manats ($16.31 billion), while expenses were 25.17 billion manats ($14.8 billion), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

These figures are 25.6% and 8.4% higher, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

In nine months, the budget had a surplus of 2.56 billion manats ($1.5 billion), which is 2.8% of the gross domestic product. In the same period last year the budget deficit was 1.14 billion manats ($670 million).
