Azerbaijan posts 10% drop in problem loans

As of July 1, 2024, problem loans in Azerbaijan amounted to 462.2 million manats (about $271.89 million), down 3.2% percent from a month earlier, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
However, the amount of problem loans in the country rose by 3.2% compared to the beginning of the year, while it showed a decrease of 10.1% in contrast to a year earlier.
By the end of June 2024, the share of overdue loans in the total loan portfolio was 1.7%. This figure was 1.8% as of June 1, 2024, 1.8% in early 2024, and 2.3% as of July 1, 2024.
