Azerbaijan may cancel 6%-simplified tax for those engaged in trading

Baku. 19 November. REPORT.AZ/ 6%-simplified tax for those engaged in trading may be cancelled, Report informs with reference to the Tax Code.

According to amendments offered to the Code,  the article No 220.1-1.1 - 6%-simplified tax for trading activity is cancelled, 8%-simplified tax for public catering remained unchanged.

Currently, the simplified tax by persons provided in the article No 218.1.2 of the Tax Code (persons with total sum of operation more than AZN 200,000 in any month(s) of 12-month period) are calculated as follows: 6% for trading activity and 8% on public catering.

By another amendment, the simplified tax will be calculated with the 2%-rate from taxpayers' revenues obtained from the submission of products, rendering of services.
