Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition to kick off tomorrow

One of the largest and most visited exhibitions in the region, the 13th Azerbaijan International Agriculture Exhibition, Caspian Agro, will be held at Baku Expo Centre from the 15th to the 17th of May, Report informs.

Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture Togrul Gafarbayli said at the press conference that this is of great importance in terms formation of ‘Made in Azerbaijan’ brand.

"We’ll be represented by the national pavilion for the first time. Our area is more than 300 square meters. We’ll, for the first time, demonstrate drone technology and mobile veterinary service, which may also be used by Azerbaijani farmers," he said.

The State Agrarian Trade Company LLC of the Ministry will also participate in the Caspian Agro. The company plans to open nearly 10 branches in Baku and regions.

Within the exhibition, 3 innovative projects and mobile laboratories will be demonstrated.

Caspian Agro 2019 is one of the most popular and well publicized exhibitions in the region and is designed to promote sustainable agriculture, the implementation of advanced technologies in the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the exchange of best practices, and to strengthen mutually beneficial business ties between local and foreign farmers. Apart from showcasing their products, exhibitors will have the perfect opportunity to meet with other participants and visitors, including importers, exporters, farmers, distributors, and representatives of the wholesale and retail trades.

Caspian Agro 2019 will unfold its expositions in three central pavilions, as well as on an open display area of Baku Expo Centre. This year more than 400 companies from 31 countries will take part in the exhibition. Representatives from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Russia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Israel and other countries will present a line of new products in such sectors as: irrigation systems, greenhouse equipment, greenhouses, equipment for the livestock industry, animal feed, seeds, agricultural equipment, veterinary drugs, laboratory equipment and much more. The national stands will be presented by Georgia and the Netherlands. Morocco will be debuting in this year’s exhibition.

The exhibition will include bilateral B2B business meetings where industry experts will be able to discuss cooperation opportunities and establish new and strengthen the existing contacts, while looking for partners and customers both among the guests of the exhibition and among their fellow participants.

Every year the organisers host special exhibition tours for farmers from the regions; where farmers are able to familiarize themselves with the latest industry innovations. Moreover, for the first time as part of this year’s exhibition, there is a plan to organise a training session on the theme “Development and assistance to the farmers in providing high quality goods”, where farmers will be able to ask experts and share their experience with colleagues.

On the second day of the exhibition it is planned to hold seminars of EUROCHEM TRADING RUS and ICODS HILMER GMBH

The exhibition is held with the active support and participation of the Minisrty of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The exhibition is also supported by National Confederation of the Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan Republic (AEC), Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation, Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The exhibition is organised by Caspian Event Organisers.
