Azerbaijan discloses share of banks in fight against money counterfeiting

Throughout 2019-2022, Kapital Bank OJSC played the biggest role in the fight against money counterfeiting in Azerbaijan, with its share in this field reaching 28%, Nasib Panahli, Head of Currency analyses and anti-counterfeiting division of Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said at the seminar themed 'Organization of cash circulation-2023'.
"In the fight against counterfeiting, the role of Access Bank OJSC is 20%, Uni Bank OJSC 14%, Express Bank OJSC 10%, Bank Respublika OJSC 5%, Azerbaijan International Bank OJSC 3%, Yelo Bank OJSC 2%, and the role of other banks is 18%," he said.
