Baku. 5 April. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan have signed agreements for elimination of double taxation with 53 countries.
Report informs, says article by Zaur Fatizade, Head of Department of international cooperation and tax monitoring in financial institutions of Ministry of Taxes.
According to him, 49 agreements have already entered into force and are being applied.
“These agreements embrace main economic and trade partners of the country, including countries holding significant investments in Azerbaijan. Moreover, five more countries – Singapore, Ireland, Slovakia, Malaysia and Morocco are ready to sign similar agreements. Talks with 8 countries - Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, India, Syria, Turkmenistan, Portugal and Oman are underway. More than 10 countries provided draft agreements and are waiting for start of negotiations”, ministry official stated.
