In the ranking of the best countries in the world, Azerbaijan rose nine places to 61st place.
According to Report, our country settled between Bolivia (60) and Latvia (62) in the annual ranking compiled by the US News & World Report on the whole nine criteria. Thus, this rating is based on suitability for travel, development of entrepreneurship, attitude to citizens (protection of human rights, environment, gender equality), level of culture, local heritage, development factors, business openness, defense, and quality of life.
Azerbaijan (GDP per capita $ 18,023) rose from 75th to 64th place in terms of entrepreneurship, from 62 to 57 in business openness, from 76 to 69 in culture, and from 69 to 66 in travel. While it has moved from 73rd to 69th place because of local heritage, it has remained in the same position for defense power (45) and quality of life (69th). The country fell from 35th to 36th place in terms of development factors and from 60 to 61 in attitude to citizens.
This year, Switzerland (GDP per capita $ 65,010) leads the ranking, which includes 73 countries. The top ten also include Canada (49,690), Japan (44,246), Germany (52,386), Australia (52,379), Great Britain (45,741), the United States (62,869), Sweden (53,652), the Netherlands (56,489) and Norway (74,357).
