The average monthly salary increased by 5.4%, the income of the population increased by 4.8%, savings - 12.4%, the annual inflation rate withheld on the same level - 1.4%. Report informs this was said by the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade, speaking in Parliament with a report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2014.
According to him, the strategic currency reserves of the country exceeded 51.3 billion dollars, which is 8 times exceeded the foreign debt of the country: The level of old-age pension reached 192 manats. The issue of reducing poverty was always on the agenda of government, with the result that this figure decreased by 5%, paid attention to improving the living standards of refugees and internally displaced persons. In the reporting year 6 new settlements were created, 4 thousand homes were provided to IDP families.In general, 630 million manats have been allocated for the provision of housing for IDPs and to increase their standard of living.
