Afghan Central Bank limits bank withdrawals

The Taliban impose restrictions on bank withdrawals in Afghanistan, Report informs, citing foreign media.
In an official decree, the Central Bank of Afghanistan has ordered all private and international banks to limit withdrawal of $200 or AFS 2,000 by individual customers per week.
The decision will be temporary. The Bank of Afghanistan has also instructed all private banks in Afghanistan to resume operations in accordance with central bank principles and laws: “All relevant company and individual account owners are allowed to send money electronically.”
