Baku. 14 May. REPORT.AZ/ In Azerbaijan, 92.3%, or 7.2 billion manats of the total amount of deposits in banks accounted for capital. The yield on the deposits in the capital is 8.2% per year.

According to the report, the highest rate in the volume of deposits noted in the Absheron economic region (194.5 million manats or 2.5%). The lowest rates are found in Kalbajar-Lachin economic region (2.3 mln. manats, or 0.03%, the average yield - 5.7%). Amount of deposits in Nakhchivan economic region amounted to 23.8 mln. manats (0.31%), in the Upper Karabakh economic region - 15.5 mln. manats (0.2%).
The volume of household deposits in banks on a monthly basis fell by 1.91% on April 1, 2015 amounted to 7 781.6 mln. manats. Of these, 2 697.0 mln. manats set in the national currency. After the devaluation the volume of deposits in the national currency continued to decline, and in foreign currency to increase.
If the volume of deposits in the national currency exceeded the volume of deposits in foreign currency at the beginning of the year, now the situation has changed. So, at the beginning of the year the volume of bank deposits in manat was equal to 4 422 4 mln. manats in foreign currency 2 766.0 mln. manats.
