Virgil Popescu: Romania supports development of Southern Gas Corridor

Romania supports the development of the Southern Gas Corridor and encourages partnership with Turkey to diversify supply routes, Report informs what Romanian Energy Minister Virgil Popescu said after a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul.
According to him, in the current geopolitical and security context, the partnership is a priority, and energy resources should not be used as an instrument of blackmail.
The minister noted that he paid attention to strengthening cooperation in the energy sector within the framework of the strategic partnership between Romania and Turkey.
