Uzbekneftegaz studying SOCAR’s personnel management system

Uzbekneftegaz is interested in studying the personnel management system of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Report informs referring to Uzbek media.

The move came during a working visit of a group of specialists from the personnel department of Uzbekneftegaz to SOCAR.

The oil and gas company of Uzbekistan paid special attention to the system of selection and placement of personnel, their training and improvement.

Also, the specialists of the two companies exchanged experience on strategic planning, setting priorities, strategic goals and indicators in the process of implementing the KPI system at the corporate level.

In order to get more detailed acquaintance with SOCAR and its structural subdivisions, Uzbekneftegaz specialists visited the head office of SOCAR, the Bibi-Heybat field of the Azneft production association, the Baku Higher Oil School and the Gobustan Training Center.

In particular, the Uzbek side was interested in the activities of training grounds for advanced training of divers carrying out underwater repairs on offshore oil and gas platforms.

During the visit, the guests were provided with detailed information about the programs of training centers, laboratory and educational equipment adapted to international standards, as well as about the conditions created for employees.

At the end of the visit, a meeting was held with the participation of the SOCAR presidential adviser on human resources, the head of the human resources department and other responsible persons and employees. The results of the visit were summed up and plans for the implementation of the activities provided for under the Roadmap signed between Uzbekneftegaz and SOCAR were discussed.
