UNDP: Demining of liberated territories - top priority

Huge work is being done by UNDP together with the EU to restore the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, UNDP Chargé d'Affaires in Azerbaijan Sukhrob Khojimatov said at the Baku Energy Forum.

He noted that several initiatives had already been put forward in this regard, and demining was a top priority.

Khozhimatov welcomed Azerbaijan's idea that these territories should be an example in terms of a green economy and expressed readiness to support Azerbaijan in this matter.

He noted that, in general, UNDP works with Azerbaijan in various sectors, including the private sector.
