Turkish electricity companies will tackle Syria's electricity supply issues in 2025, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye, Alparslan Bayraktar said, Report informs via Dunya newspaper.

"The Electricity Generation Company (EUAS), the largest state-owned electricity generation company in Türkiye, will work on meeting Syria's electricity needs in 2025. EUAS has extensive experience in this field, and we aim to achieve stability in the region," stated Minister Bayraktar.

He added that the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) will also assist with Syria's electricity supply.

"We are striving to further strengthen TEIAS. We are currently implementing a new electricity transmission architecture with increased capacity. The year 2025 will be crucial for the development of TEIAS. One of the important tasks for TEIAS during this period is to meet the electricity needs of our neighbor, Syria. TEIAS will fulfill its international duty in this context," emphasized the minister.
