The 10th meeting of the ministers of economy of the Turkic Council took place in Baku to promote cooperation among Turkic-speaking countries, Report informs referring to SOCAR.
At the business awards ceremony after the meeting, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), SOCAR Turkey, was awarded an investment prize by the Turkic Council.
At the ceremony where companies were assessed for their contribution to increasing investments in the member countries of the Council, SOCAR Turkey received an award for large-scale investments in strategic sectors. At the meeting, which was attended by the ministers of economy and trade of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, and Turkey, Turkish Minister of Trade Mehmet Mus presented the SOCAR Turkey award to the head of the company for communications and relations with the state, Mikayil Yusifov.
Business awards are presented based on assessing the activities of the companies of the Council member countries that invest in Turkey, by the decision of the Investment Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Trade.
The Turkic Council, the founders of which are Azerbaijan and Turkey, along with the expansion of economic cooperation among the member states, is implementing projects for the mutual exchange and development of the historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
