Total’s Gonfreville refinery on fire

French oil major Total said a fire at its Gonfreville refinery in Normandy, northern France, had broken in the night to Saturday, but was now under control without causing any victim. Report informs citing the Reuters.
The group also said in a statement that it was putting measures in place to ensure that the shutdown in production did not lead to fuel shortages.
“At present, the intensity of the fire which started at 4 a.m. on one of the Normandy refinery units is greatly reduced. The fire is under control,” Total said.
