The Protocol of Intent on trade and logistics of petroleum, petrochemical, gas-chemical and other petroleum products was signed between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Uzbekneftegaz, a state-owned holding company of Uzbekistan, within the meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Uzbekneftegaz Chairman Bakhodirjon Sidikov, Report informs.
In the meeting, it was emphasized that the official visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan in June 2022 is of great importance in terms of the development of cooperation relations.
It was stated that important steps have been taken since then toward the implementation of the decisions and tasks given by the heads of state.
In this regard, the strategic importance of the Roadmap, adopted in July last year, for the expansion of cooperation between SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz was brought to attention, and the work done in this direction was reviewed.
Within the framework of the meeting, views were exchanged on opportunities for cooperation in the oil and gas sector, trade in oil and petrochemical products, application of digital and innovative technologies, labor health and safety, exchange of experience and other issues of mutual interest.
