SOCAR Polymer doubles export earnings

In January-September this year, SOCAR Polymer LLC, a 57% subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), exported goods worth $172.4 million.

According to the October issue of the "Export Review" of the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication, this is $87.7 million or 2.03 times more than in the same period last year.

SOCAR Polymer has a Polypropylene Plant with an annual production capacity of 184,000 tons. The plant was inaugurated on June 18, 2018, with the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Italy Sergio Mattarella. Exports of polypropylene began on October 5 of the same year.
