Russia and Ukraine nullify mutual gas claims

“Russia and Ukraine will reset mutual gas claims on January 1,” Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said.

Report, citing RT, said that Novak had spoken to Russia 24 TV channel.

"We agreed to nullify mutual claims from January 1, and lift property arrests due to decisions made in legal rights,” Novak said.

According to him, the parties will also sign an agreement on the settlement of mutual claims and withdraw claims.

Moreover, Gazprom will pay about $2.9 billion, according to the decisions of the Stockholm arbitration court by the end of the year. In turn, Kyiv will withdraw the claim for about $7.4 billion.
