New gas field with reserves of 1BCM discovered in Ukraine

Ukraine’s Joint-Stock Company Ukrgasdobycha has discovered a new gas field, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.
The oil and gas area was studied ‘from scratch’, the field was discovered by a well with a depth of almost 4,000 meters.
Before drilling, specialists conducted a 3D seismic survey. The obtained geological information indicates that the reserves of the new field may reach 1 billion cubic meters of gas.
“This is not the first discovery of new hydrocarbon deposits this year. By increasing reserves, we are creating prospects for sustainable growth in gas production,” said Oleg Tolmachev, acting general director of Ukrgasdobycha.
