New appointments made at SOCAR

Head of SOCAR's Marketing and Economic Operations Department Adnan Ahmadzade was appointed as the Deputy of Vice-President of SOCAR on Investments and Marketing Elshad Nasirov, Report informs.

Ahmadzade was born in 1978 in Baku.

He worked as Deputy Chief of Transport-Expedition Department of the Marketing and Economic Operation Department in 2006-2007, Head of Department of Commercial Risks Management in Trade Operations, and Department of Logistics in 2007-2008, Head of Export Operations Department in 2008-2010. He has worked as the Head of Marketing and Economic Operations Department since 2010.

Ahmadzade was awarded Tereggi (Progress) medal by President Ilham Aliyev in 2015 for his merits in development of oil industry.

Adil Mammad Valiyev, who was born in 1980 in Baku, was appointed as the Head of the Marketing and Economic Operations Department.

He completed his master’s degree at Azerbaijan State Oil Academy in oil and gas processing. In 2017, he successfully completed an MBA program (management of oil and gas business) at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.

He has worked at SOCAR’s Marketing and Economic Operations Department since 2003, Deputy Chief of Export Operations Department since 2010.
