To date, 39.3 billion cubic meters of gas have been delivered to Türkiye through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), with total volumes reaching nearly 99 billion cubic meters, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy.
Today marks the 8th anniversary of TANAP's commissioning. The first phase of the pipeline was inaugurated in Türkiye on June 12, 2018. Gas transported via TANAP is supplied both to Türkiye and onward to Europe.
The TANAP project delivers natural gas produced from Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz-2 field and other sources in the Caspian Sea to Türkiye and Europe. Together with the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), TANAP forms part of the Southern Gas Corridor. Crossing Türkiye, TANAP ends at the Türkiye–Greece border, where it connects to TAP for onward delivery to European markets.
