More than $80B invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector

More than $80 billion has been invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector since 1995, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said in his article ‘The Founder of the New Oil Strategy’ published in ‘Azerbaijan’ newspaper.

It was noted that SOCAR and its subsidiaries are parties to 19 Production Sharing Agreements and two Risk Service Contracts signed with 24 companies from 15 countries. 

The article stresses the measures taken by Heydar Aliyev for the development of Azerbaijan's oil and gas industry and notes that the energy strategy which was worked out with a pinpoint precision by National Leader Heydar Aliyev successfully continues its glorious path under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
