Mirjalal Huseynov: Shafag solar power plant plays strategic role in green energy development

The construction of the Shafag Solar Power Plant plays a strategic role in the development and transmission of green energy throughout Azerbaijan, Mirjalal Huseynov, director of the Karabakh regional electricity network of Azerenerji, said.

Report quotes Huseynov as saying the state has carried out large-scale work to integrate the 240-megawatt Shafag solar power plant into the national power grid.

He stressed that the project's main objectives are to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors, reduce carbon emissions, save natural gas, increase the share of green energy, and enhance energy security.
