Minister: Azerbaijan meets 97% of Georgian domestic gas market

Azerbaijan meets 97% of Georgian domestic gas market, Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, said at the US-Georgia Strategic Partnership Conference, Report informs.

According to her, only a part of private sector buys gas from Russia: "Population and energy producers, who are main strategic consumers, are supplied with Azerbaijani gas."

Turnava said that there is no threat of Georgia’s dependence on Russia.
