Meeting of OPEC + Monitoring Committee starts

The OPEC + Monitoring Committee meeting has started in a video conference format, a source in one of the alliance's delegations told RIA Novosti.

It will discuss the situation in the oil market over the past month.

Oil demand has declined since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, OPEC + has reduced oil production by 9.7 million barrels per day since May 2020.

As the situation gets better, production restrictions have been changed to 6.9 million barrels per day for April this year.
