Masdar interested in increasing its presence in Azerbaijan

Masdar is committed to Azerbaijan and wants to grow its presence here, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar told Report.
“The country has a lot of potential. If the stakeholders and the government give us the opportunity to develop, we’re more than happy to do so,” he said.
Masdar is one of the largest renewable energy developers in the Middle East. The company also cooperates with Azerbaijan. In April 2021, the Azerbaijani government and Masdar signed a contract for the construction of a 230 megawatt solar power plant in Alat.
The total investment value of the project is about $200 million.
