Gazprom expects increased workload of TurkStream

The average workload on the TurkStream pipeline in the first quarter of 2021 was 73 percent, and it is expected to increase in the future, Elena Berezina, a spokeswoman for Gazprom's foreign economic activity department, said, Report informs referring to UrduPoint.

"TurkStream ... we can say that the average load was 73 percent in the first quarter of 2021. We expect it to increase because additional onshore capacities will be introduced in Europe by national downstream operators Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary," she said during the company's conference call.

TurkStream is an export gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey across the Black Sea. The design capacity is 31.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The pipeline is designed to supply gas to Turkey and Southern and Southeastern Europe in transit through Turkish territory.
