Gas price in Europe exceeds $2,700 on reports of suspension of Nord Stream

The spot gas price in Europe has skyrocketed above $2,700 per thousand cubic meters on reports of the upcoming maintenance works on Nord Stream pipeline, Report informs, citing Interfax.

The nearest (September) futures for TTF on ICE Futures reached $2,712 per thousand cubic meters on Friday evening.

Gazprom said earlier that the only working gas pumping aggregate, Trent 60, will be turned off on August 31 for three days of technical maintenance and planned prevention.
