European underground gas storage facilities 95.3% empty

As of February 17, 2022, the European underground gas storages (UGS) were empty by 95.3% of the total volume of gas pumped there in the summer, Report informs referring to TASS.
According to calculations at Russia’s Gazprom, based on the data of Gas Infrastructure Europe, less than 5% of reserves remain in European UGS facilities.
The volume of active gas in European underground storage facilities is by 21%, or 8.3 billion cubic meters, less than last year’s level. At the same time, 95.3% or 44.8 billion cubic meters were selected out of the volume of gas pumped in the summer season.
