European Commission calls on EU to reduce dependence on gas imports

The European Union (EU) is still heavily dependent on gas consumption. Despite the efforts of the European Commission, this trend has continued to grow in recent years, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson said, Report informs via foreign media.
According to her, the EU should eliminate this trend.
Currently, the EU imports 90% of the gas it consumes. Russia is the main supplier.
