Commercial gas output in Azerbaijan grows over 6%

The total production cost in Azerbaijan’s mining industry last year decreased by 7 percent compared to the previous year, amounting to AZN 22.7 billion ($13.3 billion), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
Azerbaijan produced 34,585,000 tons of crude oil, including gas condensate, in 2020, with commercial crude making 34,467,000 tons. In the reporting period, oil production dropped 7.8 percent (commercial oil production – 8 percent) from the same period last year.
In 2020, the country produced 36,713,000,000 cubic meters of natural gas, including 26,065,000,000 cubic meters of commercial gas. Last year, natural gas extraction increased by 3.1 percent year-on-year, and commercial gas saw a 6.3 percent growth.
