Gas supplies from Azerbaijan are important for many countries, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said during the inauguration of the Greece-Bulgaria Gas Interconnector (IGB) in Sofia.
According to him, the IGB has already decisively changed the energy map of Europe.
This project will allow Bulgaria to receive gas supplies from Azerbaijan, President Rumen Radev added.
The Greece-Bulgaria gas pipeline was put into commercial operation today. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the pipeline in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The IGB is connected to the Transnasdriatic gas pipeline in Greece, which will allow delivering Azerbaijani gas from the Shah Deniz field to Bulgaria.
